Welcome From The Athletics Department
The Athletics department would like to welcome all students, both new and returning, to the 2025-26 school year. We wish you a happy and productive year.
The academic year can be a long one, especially with a rigorous course load, so it’s important to find the time to recharge your battery throughout the year. The Athletics department offers a couple of different ways to do just that.
The first is to take advantage of the Keating Sports Center to get your blood pumping, strengthen your body, or just blow off some steam. The Keating Center features two weight rooms, ample court space for shooting hoops or playing volleyball or badminton, as well as our six-lane swimming pool, Ekco Pool, where you can get in some laps outside of class time. The Keating Sports Center is open seven days a week, with hours posted on the Athletics website at illinoistechathletics.com
Another way to help you reset mentally is by attending on-campus Scarlet Hawk home games. Illinois Tech Athletics hosts competitive men’s and women’s soccer and lacrosse at Stuart Field, hosts men’s and women’s volleyball and basketball at the Keating Center, swimming and diving at Ekco Pool, as well as baseball in the spring at Ed Glancy Field. A short drive off campus down State Street is the XS Tennis Center, where men’s and women’s tennis teams play their home matches. Attending Scarlet Hawk home games is a good way to root for your fellow students who compete at the NCAA Division III level, as well as to build a sense of community on our campus.
Best of luck this school year, and we look forward to seeing you on a regular basis at our athletic facilities.
