Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM)

The Office of Title IX Compliance is making efforts to connect meaningfully with the Illinois Tech community. In the first 3 months of 2026, the Title IX team has hosted as many in-person events as in all of 2025. As part of this effort, Title IX is excited to share that its first cohort of Peer Educators begins this Summer with new student orientation. Increasing Title IX outreach was inspired by feedback from students at Illinois Tech who participated in the 2025 Sexual Misconduct Climate Survey. The Sexual Misconduct Climate Survey is an annual survey that the Title IX team uses to understand student perceptions and experiences related to sexual harassment and misconduct at Illinois Tech. Participation is voluntary and anonymous, with the opportunity to WIN one of twenty $10 gift cards for completing the survey! Your input is so important and gives Title IX information with which to shape their goals for the 2026-2027 school year. Please take 15 minutes to share your experience and (hopefully) win some money along the way! The survey is only for students, and only students are eligible to win available prizes.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness (SAAM)! For SAAM, the Office of Title IX Compliance is hosting several workshops and events for students to participate in discussions related to interpersonal relationships, love, and sexual violence. You may have the opportunity to receive extra credit for attending the event below – Ask your professor!
