Patrick Fina, current director of Student Life and interim director of Residence Life, has been appointed to take over other crucial teams on campus, including but not limited to Public Safety, Facilities, Office of Technology Services, and Keating Sports. Aside from campus positions, Fina is also to be named dean of all colleges on campus.
Supreme Leader Raj Echambadi was asked by TechNews why the sudden change is being made, and, without hesitation, he responded, “Nobody else in the world is better suited for the job.” When asked about whether Fina will be getting a pay raise, Echambadi walked away and called security on us.
When we asked Fina about his thoughts on picking up so many new jobs at Illinois Tech, we were met with a blank stare. Understandably, of course, he is mentally preparing for the work he will be doing, so we opted to ask him a second time via email, as we know he rarely receives any. Within 48 hours, we received a response that said:
“I don’t want to talk about it. Blocked and reported.

After receiving this email, we were unable to get back in contact with him, and all emails seemed to bounce back.
We are all fully confident that Fina will be able to carry the weight of the entire school on his shoulders, especially since we know that most of these jobs are considered extremely easy to do. As for his pay raise, it sounds like it will not be changing.
On another note, it seems that Illinois Tech is doing much better financially.
